The website is live, and here is the first blog post.
More about the project, and our progress, is coming over the next several weeks.
Homeschooling is personal
Our goal is to create a free guide for homeschooling parents, helping them manage the stress and complexity of making the decision and building their unique program. This is an ambitious goal, mostly because no single homeschooling experience is the same. And that's by design, of course.
You can't take something that exists as an antidote for a large, impersonal system, and solve it with a large, impersonal system.
Yet, we have hope that we can meaningfully support a wide spectrum of homeschooling parents, with different value systems, views, and perspectives. Learn more about our approach here.
This will take a lot of learning, and experience that we don't have. YET!
Learning from real homeschooling parents
To help establish the lay of the land, we want to interview actual homeschooling parents. To find out what worked for them, what did not, and how they structured their programs.
Then, we can hope to begin putting the map together.
If you are a parent of a homeschooled child, current, previous, or future, we'd love your help! Reach out to us and we'd love to include your experience in the guide. Feel free to share as much or as little as you are comfortable with, and rest assured we'll keep all your personal information confidential.
More soon & how to get the guide
We are just spinning up, so more on the project soon. In the meantime, be sure to sign up for updates on the guide. The guide is free, and we hope will become a welcome resource to those trying to do their best for their children.
